Context for my blog posts: The archetypal symbols of astrology have been around for millennia and astrology is a language that helps us map and understand our connections with the energy of a living universe. Astrology allows us to track archetypal human experiences and knowable life cycles.
In other words, the planets are not in charge, and do not cause or compel us to do anything. The same divine intelligence that created us also created the planets in our solar system. Perhaps the best way to consider how astrology works is, when we look up into the sky at the planets, asteroids and key points in our solar system, it’s like looking into a giant cosmic mirror, reflecting our human experiences, energetic cycles, and evolution back to us.

We’re in a new cycle!
Planet Jupiter is now moving through the sign of Leo for the first time since 2014-2015.
Jupiter moves through Leo from 6/30/26- 7/26/27
Giant Jupiter opens and expands a new field of possibilities in the Leo section of EVERYONE’s charts. Jupiter, the great magnifier, is not moderate and typically correlates with the idea that bigger is better. In fact, with Jupiter, more is not only merrier but more is definitely preferable to less! Jupiter’s energies tend to be positive, optimistic, and somewhat restless. Often too focused on the big picture to be bothered with details, Jupiter tends to look toward the horizon for inspiration and adventure.
Our needs for creative self-expression and play clamor for attention — and so do we — when major planets like Jupiter activate in Leo. Our legitimate needs to express ourselves, to create, to play, to love, to have fun, and to be noticed and admired are important during this time and we’re likely to put more effort into our appearance and presentation to draw more desired attention to ourselves. Expansive Jupiter can also magnify the generosity and good-hearted expression of love which are natural to Leo. It’s also possible that our tempers could grow shorter and we might find we need to roar out any pent-up anger and frustration — finding appropriate ways to do this is important. Exercise, dance, and movement could do wonders to assist us in moving through strong emotions and in re-connecting us with our unique creative fire.
Continue Here from Mailer:
Jupiter moving through bold Leo terrain typically relates strongly with planetary placements in other fire signs like Aries and Sagittarius, often prompting us to express ourselves with a flourish, and to live life loud and proud. The desire for travel and adventure will be strong for many people, especially those with prominent Sagittarius placements in their natal charts. However, this summer’s RARE astrological configurations find that Jupiter in Leo will also activate other powerful outer planets, like Neptune and Saturn, both traveling through Aries. Jupiter in Leo will also oppose powerful Pluto in early degrees of Aquarius AND will activate unpredictable Uranus in early degrees of Gemini. If it sounds like a lot – it is!!
While it’s true that these fire-sign energies could remind us that it’s often energizing and fun to explore our willingness to risk, open up, create, express, and show ourselves, we won’t all do that at the same time, in the same way, or at the same rate.
I’ve noticed that many people are finding themselves at a bit of a loss, not knowing where to turn, how to begin again, or what new roads to travel. The willingness to experience something new is fairly strong, yet the sense of not knowing the direction or purpose is also strong. Some days we might really like the idea of starting another chapter of our lives and would dedicate ourselves to that process — if only we had some idea of what that was!
And, of course we’d also like to heed the buoyant encouragement of Jupiter in Leo to have more fun and focus on joy and creative expression, but even that upbeat instruction could seem a bit vague or simplistic for us to take creative action. We might even feel willing to take the lead and help organize something – but again, what? Sometimes not knowing yet but thinking that we should know can feel incredibly annoying –especially if it seems like other people have already received their cosmic memos and are already off having fun or pursuing some vibrant new goals!
Please know that you’re not alone if you feel like you just don’t know yet. It likely means you’re experiencing some of the manifestations of Jupiter acting on responsible, disciplined Saturn in Aries and nebulous Neptune in Aries. Not to oversimplify, but Aries represents the START of something. We’re at the very beginning of a new phase when we often really don’t know what the next steps are. Like a baby chick newly hatched, we might be just learning to walk. It’s early days yet and we’re only beginning to make our way out into the barnyard. So, it’s really quite natural for reasonable, thoughtful Saturn receiving energy from exuberant Jupiter, to chime in with, “Ok, I’m in, but what’s the plan? Oh and what do I need to bring?” Often accompanied by a chorus of , “I really don’t know yet. Can we maybe take it one day at a time,” from nebulous Neptune doing its very best to apply sound spiritual principles.
And THIS is when the application of faith from philosophical Jupiter could come in handy: to trust that simply doing the next right thing in your own life is actually beneficial and can help reconnect you with your own sense of adventure, or even bring unexpected rewards or satisfaction. These planetary combinations can help to validate that living your own life IS a purpose, and that taking the next step can help you get back into a flow of possibility. Why not? You might even regain your sense of humor and appreciation for your own spirit, which is capable of experiencing gratitude and awareness of blessings.
Stay tuned for more! Next time we’ll discuss Jupiter in Leo’s activations of the additional outer planets: Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius!
