What’s cooking in the cosmos during the second half of 2019?
This year’s Summer Solstice chart contains an action packed description of the major themes expressing for all of us for the second half of 2019!
Jupiter continues moving through its home sign of Sagittarius for the first time in 12 years, and rises in the East ahead of the rest of the planets each day, while also continuing its challenging relationship with outer-planet Neptune — moving through ITS home sign of Pisces; the north node of the Moon, a key indicator for the evolution of the soul, continues through the sign of Cancer for the first time in 18 years, an energy which is emphasized and related to the 3 remaining eclipses this year; there are 2 more Mercury retrogrades in water signs with the next one officially starting on July 7th; and Mars, also moving through the sign of Cancer, comes back from its 8 week journey “out of bounds” and will pass through Leo this summer on its way to connect with its cosmic lover, Venus, in Virgo, on August 24th. The year ends with another eclipse and some powerful shifts as Jupiter joins the Sun, Moon, south node and 3 other planets in Capricorn!
Meanwhile, earth sign energies still figure prominently in 2019 as Saturn and Pluto continue their trek through the sign of Capricorn while Uranus returns to Taurus and remains there until April 26, 2026. Yes indeed, there’s a lot going on astrologically and these events correspond with major themes that resonate for each and everyone of us in some area of our lives in 2019. Since the planetary movements in our solar system reflect our own human evolution back to us – think about looking in a giant cosmic mirror! – these energies are worth knowing about.
On June 20, 2019, I gave a 90 minute talk called “Nourishing and Becoming the Change” outlining and updating these themes and grounding us in our current experience of the wisdom, challenges and opportunities of this year’s powerful, transformational energies. As a metaphysical astrologer and evolutionary intuitive, my calling and interest has always been to help awaken an inspired understanding of the higher spiritual potentials and creative opportunities inherent in our lives at any given time, and astrology is one of my tools for doing this. This is why we gather for astrology discussions– to consciously engage with the interesting, joyful and sometimes challenging work our souls are up to.

By embracing what is both magical and practical about the language, I zero in on salient themes of a given cycle and offer valuable insights for people to consider.
